There are a whole bunch of activities in Rocky Point that a lot of people don't even know exist. You can go snorkeling with Sea Lions. You can hand feed sea turtles and sea lions. The sun set cruises are really fun and the fishing trips can't be beat. There are ultra light airplane rides you can go on and banana boats and horse back riding for the kids.
I have seen Jet ski rentals right on the beach and kayak rentals in town.
This link will take you to our activities page with a bunch of helpful tips and phone numbers. You can also ask the nice people at the front desk of the resort you are staying at for help setting up fishing trips, sun set cruises etc.
A trip with your children to Rocky Point is not complete with out a visit to the aquarium. Its not a super fancy place. The aquarium is actually part of a school but it is fun. $3.00 gets you in the door and for $1.00 a piece you can buy a bag a fish or squid to feed the animals. You can pick up starfish and all kinds of other neat animals. A must while in town.
A good way to set up a fishing trip is to head on over to the Marina which is just before the Malicon and fish & shrimp market. Two blocks before you get to the Malicon & the fish and shrimp market you will see fisher men on the side of the road waiving you in to the parking lot right on the Marina. They can help you set up a fishing trip and you can bargain.
We will keep our eyes open for you and if we find any other fun thing to do we will pass them on to you. Have a great new year.
